Need some advice....?

So okay theres this guy that I like and he liked me too oh hell I dont know if he still does or not. So hes away for like 8 months at sea he left like last month I think. So before he left I f---ed up with him tvice and I told him that I was sorry and if he would give me a third chance. I was gong through a rough time so I pushed him away both times. I have sent him 3 emails a few weeks apart saying that Im sorry, that I really like him and that he is a good guy and I didnt mean to screw up with him. But he hasnt responded to any of my emails. He can be really sensitive sometimes. So should I just totally give up on this guy? I feel totally defeated.
