Has humanity lost the ability to ask what if or is it just folks on answers?

I threw a few what if science questions out there, asked, begged and pleaded for folks not to tell me the conventional wisdom and guess what I got. Conventional wisdom. Very frustrating. I had hoped to engage in some stimulating e conversation and not only did I not get that but learned that peoples reading and comprehension skills are horrible. Any one suggest a place to talk with open minded intelligent people about geology and science? Take a look at some of my non answered questions. Am I right or just frustrated?
